Maushole Productions was born in 2002 when a friend asked me if I would dj her wedding. I’d started my dj career in 1992 at a New Jersey community radio station and worked my way up to Night Clubs and special events in Washington DC a few years later. But I still wasn’t all that comfortable with the thought of being a “wedding dj”, even if only for a few hours, but anything for a friend.

Fast forward to January 2003, somewhere on a patio under a massive Mexican moon. An outdoor generator is spitting and coughing trying to fuel my dj equipment and the air conditioning. The wedding party and their guests have liberated their Guayaberas and wedding dresses, opting for bikinis and trunks. It was right then, while pouring with sweat, that I thought to myself “maybe being a wedding dj isn’t so bad”. more
